Collectors take their sports memorabilia very seriously, which is why a ticket stub from the 1927 World Series is worth over $41,000 nowadays, making this a huge return on investment.

What this shows, though, is that collectors’ items aren’t necessarily about an item but about what it represents historically.

Realistically, this flimsy card isn’t worth much but what it represents is worth a lot!
