Lois Chiles was another model-turned-actress who was a big name before becoming a Bond girl.
After her appearances in successful movies like Death on The Nile and The Great Gatsby, the beautiful Chiles took on the role of Dr Holly Goodhead in Moonraker alongside Roger Moore as Bond.
Chiles was approached for a part in The Spy Who Loved Me but rejected the offer as she was taking a break from acting after the untimely death of her brother.
Chiles went on to make a number of appearances in both TV and movies, including in Murder, She Wrote, CSI and played Celeste in Speed 2: Cruise Control before retiring from acting in 2006.
Whilst many Bond girls now regret their appearances in the franchise, Chiles has said that it is a ‘fun way to be remembered’.
Chiles married money manager Richard Gilder in 2005, who died in 2020.
