Bono, the stage name of Paul Hewson, is a successful Irish singer-songwriter who fronted the band U2 before going on to perform other collaborations and solo works.
Like Bob Dylan, Bonoโs hits were frequently rebellious and political, and he also played an active part as an activist for social justice.
He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has twenty-two Grammy awards.
